Run at the Park 5K/10K

Sat September 26, 2020 Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730 US

COVID-19 Update

Let's address the obvious question. What if I sign up and the race is later canceled due to COVID-19?

As of now, the Run at the Park is scheduled to occur as planned on September 26, 2020. For those feeling trepidation about registering, we'd like to remind our runners/walkers of a few policies and resources we've put in place. In the event that we are forced to cancel, registered participants can choose from the following options:

Virtual Race: Runners may elect to run the race virtually at the time and location of their choice and receive a mailed race packet free of charge. The mailed packet will include a race shirt, medal, and any other swag that would have been received on race day. Those who select this option will also be given a code for a discount on a future Rancho Racing event.

Complimentary Deferment: Runners may elect to defer the entire amount of their registration fee to be used at any future Rancho Racing event.

We've also begun to offer registration protection (i.e. race insurance) through RunSignUp (available for purchase at check-out). Registration protection options allow race participants to get reimbursed up to 100% if they cannot attend the event for a number of reasons, including covered injury, illness, traffic accidents, and more.

We hope these steps help eliminate any financial risk, and strongly encourage runners not to hesitate to register.

If the race is to commence as scheduled, what precautions will be in place to ensure my safety?

Rancho Racing events are supposed to be fun, challenging, and safe - and now more than ever, we take that last one very seriously.

Runners can be assured that we will be implementing a series of safety measures for both packet pick-up and race day. These measures would be too long to list here, but they include:

  • Gloves and masks to be worn by all race staff and volunteers
  • Hand sanitation stations
  • Limited "touch-points" at both packet pick-up and on race day
  • Social distancing strictly enforced, from packet pick-up thru staggered starting waves
  • Limited/capped race sizes for each event

We will provide detailed updates on our website regarding race day and safety protocol as we get closer to the event.

We look forward to seeing you on race day. Stay safe, and we'll see you in September!
